Windows cannot find Services.exe

A few days ago AVG antivirus removed a Trojan type virus, after which at startup
I get the message "Windows cannot find Services.exe ......". I've looked through
the start up log and done a search in the Registry. win.ini and system.ini but can
find no reference to Services.exe.
How can I get rid of the startup message?
