If you are copying the files to a 3.5 inch floppy disk in drive A: try opening the
write-protect slider on the floppy disk.
If you are copying the files to a flash drive plugged into a USB port, open the device
manager (go to START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM and click on the "Device
Manager" tab). Make sure the USB port is working, i.e. that there is not a question
mark or exclamation mark against it in the Device Manager screen.
Make sure that you are not using a USB 2.0 flash disk in a USB port that is rated
USB 1.1 only. USB 2.0 devices cannot be used in USB 1.1 ports (unless the device
is clearly marked as compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0).
Make sure that the file you are trying to copy is not in use by some other program.
Close the other program before trying to copy the file.
If none of the above solves your problem, post here the EXACT WORDING of the error
message you are seeing, and describe the EXACT steps you are taking that leads to
this error.
