USB hard disk letter

I have a hard disk with five partitions C D E F G with all my data in partition D.
When I insert a memory stick the memory files appear as D with all the other letters
moved down - D becomes E, E bcomes F and so on.
With the CD letters H and I, the USB stick should be J.
