Steve's comment of Nov 29 reflects my own experience. Nero is a resource hog, using
100% of whatever memory is available.
The work-around is to uninstall Nero and use a different program. They don't all
do this.
You are not entitled to post the statement "often when running a program such as
Nero which takes a long time to complete a task the taskbar icon will stop functioning",
if what you really meant was that you ONLY encounter that situation when using Nero.
Your original statement is misleading, in implying that the fault is with Windows.
My experience is that the problem is with Nero.
This forum is only for problems with Windows. It is not a support forum for Nero.
You may be better off posting in a Nero forum - see their website, or do a Google
search, for such forums.
