Try turning off System Restore, and rebooting, most the files should disappear, if not you could use a Linux Live Cd. Boot to the Cd, and mount the Windows Drive to delete the Files. Microsoft also has a article on how to do it from a Boot floppy somewhere on their WEB Site that I remember stumbling into.
