Thank you for attempting to help me solve my problem. Ms. Eagle, that goes for you
too. It is so appreciated.
After much tweaking and tuning (registry, virus scans, adaware scans, deleting programs,
system restore) the computer finally recognized and installed the device. It had
to pick up a generic driver but it's working like a champ. Sometimes luck is on
my side.
