Well AVGEMC and AVGCC are part of AVG anti-virus.
VERIZONSERVICEPOINT is is a process associated with Verizon Servicepoint from Verizon.
I've never heard of this, do you know its installed?
How come CCLEANER is running without you telling it to? I use CCLEANER but I don't
have it running all the time.
HIDSERV provides support for USB multimedia devices with the Microsoft Windows operating
system. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer
and should not be terminated. I don't recall this running when I was using WinME.
MCCITRAYAPP is a program file which most likely was installed by you. Verify the
exact disk location shown below as many programs use similiar names as spyware and
attempt to fool you. This program is called Motive tray application, and it is from
Motive Communications and it is a hardware related program. This file is considered
safe and is not spyware or adware.
Program Files\blueyonderWCM\McciTrayApp.exe
Actually you only need to programs running when Windows starts up these are EXPLORER
and SYSTRAY.
You don't actually need your virus checker running all the time. I use AVG and I
don't have it running. Virus checkers use a lot of Windows resources. Any file you
download or are given you can do a virus check on that file as and when you want
too.
AVG still works in the background even though it won't be listed in Task Manager.
I was on a site the other night and it said I need to download an ActiveX to support
this site. I clicked yes and it downloaded something in Temporary Internet Files
but AVG picked up on it straight away and healed it.
You can easily remove AVG from startup if you Run: Msconfig and look in the
Startup tab.
