ME was absolute crap compared to W98SE. Remember I saw several hundred computers
running on W95, then W98, then SE, ME, and finally XP. By far XP was the most reliable,
whiled ME and 95 were pretty much in a tie for the worst of the bunch. It's irrelevant
how well it runs immediately after installing, they all do. What counts is how well
it runs months later after installing and uninstalling lot's of software. The underlying
DOS foundation absolutely ensured reliability problems for all of the OS's before
W2K. (I know the early versions of NT were not handicapped by DOS, but had a significant
number of backwards compatibility issues, it wa reliable, just not very useful.)
