Theres your problem right there. ME was the worst version of Windows, and Microsoft didn't bother with service packs or that...they just put out Windows 2000 which was very stable and way better. I would upgrade to Windows 2000 (or downgrade to Windows 98 SE). But DON"T stick with ME, I stronly advice a change in OS. Happy Computing, Gregory J.
