About 5 months ago, my dvd rom would no longer read the discs inserted (still had power, still would open and close). I cleaned it several times to no avail and eventually got a 50x cd rom to replace it temporarily. Now, it is doing the same thing. Could this be a problem with the OS or is it just some flakey hardware issue? thank you in advance for any advice. There are presently no replies to this message.
