Comment about 'Rename the Recycle Bin' Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at 7:05 pm Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by DAT (5 messages posted) I have a comment about Rename the Recycle Bin: Although the method described in the article will work in W95 and W98 (I know: I've done it), it does not seem to work in WME. However, there is another way that should work. After running RegEdit and going to the location mentioned in the article (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/645...), go down to ShellFolder, double click on Attributes, and change the value there from "40 01 00 20" to "50 01 00 20" (that is, change that first 40 to 50). After making the change and getting out of RegEdit, this will enable the rename option when you right-click on the Recycle Bin icon.
