Error message on ME startup

At startup an error message comes up about file VNIM32.VXD is missing or currupted
and startup stops with a black screen and the above message. The computer will go
no further. It is possible to boot to DOS screen and access the c: drive, but am
unable to restore the above missing or currupted file.
