Question about 'Troubleshooting Driver Problems'

Help please! I have a Sony Digital camera DSC P50. Until I recently re-installed
Wondows it was all fine, now my computer refuses to load the driver from the CD rom
giving the message- 'error extracting support files'. I have tried downloading the
driver from Sony web-site - the computer still ignores it. I have tried using different
USDB ports to no avail. Can anyone suggest a solution please?
