Question about 'Change a file association on the fly'

I opened an SDB file with Notepad leaving "always use this program to open file"
checked.So I tried to restore it with Regedit but can't do it.Is there a specific
"open with file list"that I could copy in Regedit to have these files opened as they
used to be(Unknown application)Am I causing problems to my system?
