Kudos to author(s) of this article...it has solved a problem that plagued me for months!! I was so confused as to why only certain web pages would not display on my brand NEW Gateway laptop. Soooo frustrating. I have spoken to many techs from a variety of companies about the problem: Gateway, SBC Ameritech, Compaq...nobody knew what was going on, and I was more than once referred to a pay-per-instance hotline. Blech!

I did encounter a few differences in fixing the problem, however. As mentioned by a few other users, my Tcp/Ip description was found under the NetTrans key. Also there was not one, but THREE keys that I had to add the MaxMTU string value to.
