I have a question about All of my desktop icons just became corrupted - what do I do?:

My problems are:1- I did try to delete the folder as describe in the previous tip and it did not work.... 2- my corrupted icons are in the "start menu"and not on the desktop!maybe that's why that trick did not work as it was suppose to......help please....
