Only 128Mb of RAM is really not enough, Windows is better with 256Mb which is really
the minimum with increased web-content and more programs multi-tasking than ever
before. 512Mb is ideal. A good defrag IS essential: DISKEEPER LITE

Use this defrag to take a good look at your disk-drives, so that you can see the
picture CLEARLY.

As to RAM the BEST advice is to get some more as it is so inexpensive.

Also you need a good clean-up diagnostic and maintenance kit for ME to keep it running.

Apart from Norton Utilities which you would have to buy, you can use all of these
programs, etc. on your computer to help speed things up:

CRUCIAL  INSTALL.PDF  MICRON RAM

DocMemory 2.0  DOWNLOAD

RAM memory assistance: RAM:PAGE 1.6  DOWNLOAD

Good reading about Virtual Memory allocation: VIRTUAL-MEMORY

RAM1  RAM2  RAM3  RAM4

Windows Start-Up BOOTDISKETTE  DOS COMMANDS

Manual deletion of: _RESTORE & TEMP folders & Temporary Internet Files from the DOS
prompt and the too, etc.

A:\>DELTREE C:\_RESTORE , [ENTER] will delete the _RESTORE folder AND sub-folders.

A:\>DELTREE C:\WINDOWS\TEMP , [ENTER] will delete the TEMP folder and sub-folders.

A:\>DELTREE C:\WINDOWS\Tempor~1 , [ENTER] will delete the Temporary Internet Files.

A:\>DEL C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\DATACOLL\*.* , will delete the useless DATACOLL
files whilst you are doing this.

SPYBOT-SD  VIEW  DOWNLOAD

SpywareBlaster

AdAware 6.0

Automatic Deletion of TIF, TEMP & index.dat files. DELINDEX

And for all other temp files: EMPTEMP 2.0

Spider

ERASER

REGISTRY CLEANER REG-CLEANER 4.3

Free on-line Anti-Virus check: TREND-MICRO  PANDA  BITDEFENDER

And another from Symantec: NORTON-SYMANTEC

On-line security check from: SYMANTEC SECURITY CHECK

Configure your connection to protect your bios, etc.

VIRUS REMOVAL TOOLS

ZIP-FIXES UNZIP-FIXES

KAZAA WORM FIZZER

Work through all of these one by one and read through the links too.
