I have a question about Do I still need CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT?:

I need to load ansi.sys /x on my WinME system. When I try to use the DEVICE command in the config.sys, it ignores it and rewrites the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

We needed to set the config.sys file as well. The only way we found to get it to work was to use the Win ME patch from Real-Mode DOS at www.dewassoc/support/winme/real_dos.htm
