Question about 'Hide all Icons on the Desktop'

I have a question about Hide all Icons on the Desktop:

Ok, I edit NoDesktop to have a value of 1. I then refresh my desktop & all icons disappear. When I restart my computer, however, All of the icons are in place again. I check the reg key and it still contains a 1 value. If I refresh the desktop any time after I restart, the icons disappear. I want my desktop blank. Is there a batch file that could be run to reset my desktop?

Sif is correct, right click in the middle of your desktop and select "show web content" then right click in the middle again and you will see that you can then select "hide desktop icons" play around with it....have fun....Glenn.
