Hi there, i'm new in the computer world. A few weeks ago i bought a new computer
and I installed the internet on it. Everything went fine till 2 days ago I got the
following message: Iexplore has caused an error in Kernel32.dll. Iexplore will now
close . If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
I can only continue when I press the reset button to restart the computer. I hope
someone can help me.
Thanks in advance. Didi

Hey,
Yeah I'd like to add to that. I have a similar, possibly the same problem. I get
the same error as Didi except it's for when I operate more than one window of internet
explorer, or when I open up a regular window (i.e. a folder). I get either iexplore
or explorer crashing due to kernel32.dll
The final catch is that it only happens sometimes, but at least once per boot. Also
when I try and open a folder for the first time after startup, it prompts to connect
to the internet. It makes no difference if I connect or not.

Hi Didi. are you using McAfee Antivirus? this problem tends to occur with McAfee
versions 5x, it's usually cured by disabling the Internet and e-mail scans. I think
McAfee have a fix for this - not too sure - I'm using Norton (there was also a problem
with Norton 2001 and Windows Me which is fixed in the 2002 version but that's another
story). The latest McAfee version 6 also works fine with Windows Me. Hope this helps.
Carl.

Ok guys.....that error occured many times when you use windows me or 98.....that's
because of windows kernel(Engine of your windows)...since windows 98 and ME uses
9x kernel which is not stable makes an error.....iexplore is internet explore or
browser....this is the most used program because even if you open any thing like
my computer or etc....all uses explorer or browser.....so this is nothing new.....if
you want to minimize this problems.....go get some update for your windows.....
GOOD LUCK~!

Hey Carl - No, but I do have Norton Antivirus 2002. I've seen the bug you're talking
about and I'm using IE6.
