Question about 'Contents of the MSDOS.SYS File'

I have a question about Contents of the MSDOS.SYS File:

When my computer is starting i get a message stating "invalid setting in MSDOS.SYS BootMenuDelay=" I may have got the syntax wrong, but I think that's right. Anyway I opened the msdos.sys and BootMenuDelay wasn't even in there so I added it with a setting of 30. Problem is, I still get the message during bootup. Any Ideas? Thank you

IMPORTANT: If a WINBOOT.INI file is also present in the root directory of the boot drive (usually C:\), MSDOS.SYS is automatically bypassed by the Win9x/ME bootup routine! More about WINBOOT.INI and MSDOS.SYS: http://members.aol.com/axcel216/msdos.htm#EDI
