'How can I remap Escape along with Contro and Caps-Lock?'

I have a question about Customize
Your Keyboard Mapping:

I use the Keyboard Remap tool from "Kernel Toys", and it nicely solves my biggest keyboard problem, namely putting the Left-Control key where I want it. But I would also like to remap the Escape key to make it easier to reach. - What I really want is to end up with: Control at the key marked "Caps Lock" Escape at the key marked "Ctrl" Caps Lock at the key marked "Esc" - Can the Remap tool be modified to handle "Escape" instead of "Left Alt" or "Left Shift" ? - What is the principle of this "toy"? Would it be easier to just write a simple program with no user interface that does only the remappings I want?

Hi Len, I searched with Google for remapping tools and/or macros. There are many utilities available but few will do what you are looking for. A notable exception might be Macro Express (http://www.macros.com) which may do the job. The down side is that it costs $39.95 but they offer a 30 day trial. I suggest that you post your question to them via email (mailto:info@wintools.com) if you're interested in investigating their product. Good Luck! Regards, Ron

I'm very pleased to say that I have found the answer to my
own question. There is another little app very similar to
the Key Remap from Kernel Toys, except this one lets you map
EVERYTHING! It makes the Kernel Toy look like, well..... a
toy! I have installed this new one and UNinstalled the
old Key Remap and I'm a happy camper, at least as far as this
little problem. Look for ZDKeyMap at:
