I have indured a plethora of disfunctional device, game and utility devices when
updating(?) to windows ME then XP. I am attempting to rollback to windows '98, the
last stable platform I have known with microsoft. Anyone desiring information regarding
the issues I experienced; Feel free to contact me at mwoodby@msn.com. I also have
two unnamed discs

Actually, an upgrade would serve you better than a retrograde. If you " Uninstall
" Windows ME using the "Restore " disc which should have been supplied by the computer
Manufacturer, You will also probably lose any programs, utilities and files you have
added since the purchase of your PC. I suggest that; If stability is your problem;
Then go ahead and upgrade to Windows XP(home edition) It is very stable and user
friendly, plus; You will not lose anything previously installed.
