Question about 'Can you provide a list of all possible Windows error messages?'

I keep getting the following error message when trying to start a game. SYSDUMP.TXT
saved. Then the game won't start.
Any info why this happens, what it is and what can be done to resolve it would be
greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

The sysdump.txt file is generated by some games when there is a problem loading the
game. For example, this page has information on the game Delta Force:
http://www.landwarrior.org/forums/search.php?s=c079c5b1716e274968df20018e3a3c36&action=showresults&searchid=5908&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending IYour
best bet is to visit the manufacturer's site for your game and do a support search
there.

I was having the same problem. According to Novalogic, you need to download the latsest
SOUND CARD drivers from the manuf. site!

U ARE NEARLY RIGHT!
TAKE OF THE SERVICE PACK IT SHOULD CURE THE PROB.#
OTHER OPTION IS DO THE 3 FOLLOWING: U MUST DO EM ALL
1. UPDATE BIOS
2. UPDATE AGP DRIVERS
3. UPDATE GRAPHICS CARD DRIVERS
3. GET THE LATEST GRAPHICS CARD DRIVERS

That's what this is a discussion forum right? If there is anything funny about asking
a question on a question forum you probably shouldn't be here. Your the funnest thing
I've heard on a forum, now get lost.

I had similar problem. I fixed it by installing the latest sound driver. I my case
it was a driver for a sound chip on my motherboard by C-Media. I still get occasional
crashes but at least I can play for awhile before having the screen freeze.

i've been dealing with the sysdump.txt error for a long time now. i've done a lot
of research and this is what i come up with;
1. this is definitely not a file that someone sends you and to 'kick you off the
game' that someone else posted. it is also not nearly as simple as simply deleting
the sysdump file and having the problem go away.
2. primarily, it seems to be a driver conflict but there are other factors to consider.
when playing Black Hawk Down, i find that a minimum of 1 meg of ram is ideal and
128mb video card also is ideal. the nova logic games will run on less but this combination
definitely helps.
3. changing your virual paging sise under 'system settings' is also another way to
approach solving the sysdump.txt error. make sure your virtual paging is set to one
and a half times that of your RAM.
4. last but not least, updating your system BIOS can sometimes help in this situation,
especially if you've downloaded Microsoft System Pack 2.
5. even after all this and a new nVidia 256 meg video card and 1 meg of ram, i still
get the damn error message.
good luck...

There is one simple solution to your problem, First run the offline game, exit, and
go online gaming. i dont know why this works, but it does for me, i think the prob
is caused by NovaWorlds servers. I get that message after signing in on Nova server.
Hope this helps.

i don’t think this is true. the sysdump.txt file is an error report created when
an error occurs, not, as you say, a malicious file that creates an error. For this
reason deleting the file will make no difference at all. I can’t tell you what your
error is but you will probably be able to find out best by reading the sysdump.txt
file, although it will probably mean nothing or very little to someone with no understanding
of computer languages. Hopefully this has been of some help.
