Question about 'Replace the Ugly Startup and Shutdown Screens'

I have a question about Replace
the Ugly Startup and Shutdown Screens:
This procedure does not work for Windows ME. There is not even a file called logow.sys.
How do I proceed?

the file is named logo.sys and is in
"C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS" Copy it, alter it as you please, and put it in the CABS
folder (after removing the original logo.sys file)

I noticed somebody posted a reply about the logo.sys file in the "options\cabs" folder,
but if you do not want to remove this file from the folder you can simply place your
new or altered copy of this file in the root "C:\" of your hard drive and you will
boot up using this file instead.

This doesn't work for me on Window ME either. I have replaced the logo.sys on the
root, in c:\windows\, and in c:\windows\options\cabs. Help?!

I have tried replacing the logo.sys file in the C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS menu to the
logo.sys file I want to see. I shut the computer down, re-started it, and I still
see the same WIN ME startup screen. What am I doing wrong?
