blue screen appears during browsing

I have annoying problem which happens while I'm browsing the net. It happens randomly in the middle of page download. I get a blue screen with following massage: "an exeption 0e has occured at 0028: c29e622c in vxd---. this was called from 0028: c1835d46 in vxd---. it may be possible to continue normally." But it is never possible to continue normally. After this massage,my explorer is not able to download anything, and I have to restart my computer. Can anyone please help me to resolve this problem?

Well Sasha, I have found it difficult to continue normally after a massage myself, but I would ask if you have fully updated your system at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com After a good massage I am not up to much either, just jump into the Jacuzzi. ;- ) Iain.

I get the same damn thing, and have just posted a message about it. Seeing as this message is fairly old, have you found anything to remedy the problem? I've tried the massage and that didn't help. It did save me from throwing my computer out the windows (no pun intended)...

Hi I'm looking for solution to a similar problem. About a month ago, my Windows ME computer started having errors like this that result in the BSOD and I am forced to shut down with the power button every time. Seems to me it happens when I have too many windows open (although nowadays that could mean as few as 3 or 4) but I also feel like it's related to something like playing a video or a game or something, but not real sure about that. The error message always includes "VxD" and usually "VPowerD". So I went to the FreePCTech Support page you gave Sasha a link to up above and they have a download for what sounds like just this problem. I felt like I'd found exactly what I needed, especially because it says this on that page: "The solution is rather easy. Download the VXD Fix file and upgrade your system. It is important to note here that not ALL Fatal Exceptions will cease in all cases. However, in almost all cases where users where getting Fatal Exceptions related to VXD's the situation is corrected immediately, and does not continue or return later." Perfect, right? Nothing ever is... After downloading and installing this fix, you still have to do one more thing, and I guess I can't do this. It says, "*Note: you cannot update your system from cab files on your hard drive. This requires your Windows Installation CD." I don't have my ME Install CD anymore. I looked everywhere for it but no luck. And it says you have to have it to run this fix, for whatever reason. Anybody know of any other alternative? I already downloaded the fix from that page, but I guess it won't do me any good to run it, right? If I don't have the Windows Install CD? This problem occurs at least once per Internet session, so it really is a problem for us. Surely there will be something else I can do. Hoping someone here will know. Thanks a lot for all your help. Rebecca

I went to the website to download the fix but it will not download for me. I am getting the blue screen just about everytime I start the computer. It started yesterday on me. Is there any other site to where I can download the fix.
