To get rid of errors with Msbb.exe, you will have to contact the provider of Web3000,
the well know Spyware program that often comes attached to "free" downloaded programs,
and that msbb.exe is part of. Their web site is web3000.com. You can read
more about Web3000 and msbb.exe at msbb.exe
and locate the Web3000 and msbb.exe link on that page. However most ME
users just prefer to get rid of the program and its problems with ADAware_Lavasoft.nu.

How To Get Rid Of MSBB.EXE

1. FIRST, STOP IT RUNNING SO YOU CAN GET DIRTY WITH IT
CTRL-ALT-DEL and stop MSBB running from your tasks (programs that are running that
you can't see running on the toolbar or in the system tray)
2. NEXT, DELETE THE PROGRAM ITSELF
Search your hard drives for "msbb.exe" and delete all copies of it. I found copies
in "\windows\system" and "\windows\system\fleok". The fleok sub-directory was empty
other than holding msbb.exe so I assume it's specifically meant to hold msbb.exe
but I'm not sure so I kept the empty directory after deleting the executable.
3. MAKE SURE IT'S ACTUALLY DELETED
Empty your recycle bin.
4. NOW STOP WINDOWS FROM TRYING TO LOAD IT WHENEVER IT FIRST BOOTS UP
Run "regedit" (it's in your windows directory) and that'll open up your registry.
Do a search for a couple of things. Specifically "solutions" and look for instances
of something called "180 solutions". You want to delete any folders called "180
solutions". I'm not entirely sure what 180 Solutions is, other than the fact that
it's some kind of internet related company, but it's related to msbb.exe somehow.
Next, search for "msbb". You're specifically looking for it in a folder that's
probably called "Run". Don't delete the folder, just delete the key inside that
folder that mentions "msbb.exe". These are things that are run when Windows first
starts up without you knowing about it.
5. DONE
Put up a software firewall on your computer like ZoneAlarm (or Sygate Personal Firewall
if you want something a little nicer with more features and configurability). This
will let you know if it's trying to come back and phone home again. I have no idea
where this program comes from. I think I caught it off a web page one day while
I had my Norton Anti-Virus temporarily disabled. There's lots of people out there
saying this is impossible to delete. Not sure what they're talking about. I had
it deleted and disabled within a few minutes without any problems.

There's also some files in your Windows directory that start with "FIZ". In my case
I saw "FIZ1", "FIZ2", "FIZ3", "FIZ4", and "FIZ5". Delete all of these. These are
files msbb.exe creates that describe URLs you're visiting in your web travels. msbb's
goal seems to be to upload these files to somewhere on the net to let somebody know
your web travels (ie. common spyware tactics). In my case, each of these files were
created over the course of ten days or so.

I do not have windows me, but I do have this same problem.
Windows/fleok/msbb.exe When I right click properties and glance through the "other
version information" it says that n-CASE is the product name.
My question is that when reviewing my list of Add/Remove Programs I have a "Interstitial
Ad Delivery by n-CASE" and a "PAD Lookups by n-CASE"
Would it be okay if I just deleted Everything? msbb.exe and these two programs??
Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

I have Windows ME. I have repeatedly had this problem and I'm fed up with it. I have
had to delete MSBB many times and when I go to Add/Remove Hardware and I try to remove
the n-CASE programs, it tells me I can't unless I download more software. Well, thats
the last thing I'm going to do, download more software to get rid of something I
already have. I really need this gone- every time I search for something in the address
bar or type a wrong URL it brings me to this Search.net that is really annoying.
Please help! :(

Well, here is how a guy helped me once.. :
Hello Rebecca, This is part of the 180 Solutions advertising through shopping nuisance.
Go to Start, Run and type msconfig and press OK then go to start-up and uncheck ALL
references to 180 Solutions and msbb.exe.
Click on "Purge" (or clean) click apply and re-boot your computer.
Next run regedit.exe and search for 180 Solutions and msbb.exe and delete all registry
keys for this free software.
hope it helps..

I found the"FIZ" files in:
C:\Programfiler\TwistedHumor\Bonus Software
www.twistedhumor.com sendt me this spyware... make sure you know how to delete this
annoying->ahhh... you name it. If you want to spy on yourself, whatever,... you can
open the "FIZ" files by opening it with wordpad. This is where you can find out exactly
what time a day and what date you accessed what webpage. It's in this format: DATE,
TIME, ?randomletters? ,#,0?,"Webpage", False. "These files might be in your Windows
directory These are files msbb.exe creates that describe URLs you're visiting in
your web travels."
This is the information that is automatically sent to the idiots; Important: Delete
it or something to make sure they don't gain information about you! Most people hate
ads, and most people hate the ... who spy on them, take action, try to kill all the
producers of this spyware!
I meant delete all the software of this spyware!

Ctrl-alt-del and stop running all the stuff that is related to this spyware, and
then add/remove them. (if you got windows XP, and you logged on as a username; ctrl-alt-del
click username on processes, and get rid of all those things with ur username on
them) and then add/remove
