Error message for explorer

When I try and open a folder, windows explorer, restore an active desktop or open
the search box. I get this error message:
Explorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL
Explorer will now close
If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.
I then hit close and whatever i tried opening ends up closing. I can't find solutions
to this problem anywhere on the net. The problem is with windows explorer not internet
explorer.
If anyone has any advice please let me know. I have tried restoring my registry
and reinstalling the MSHTML.DLL but it still isn't working.
Thanks for the advice

That doesn't seem to be the problem that I am having. My error doesn't say anything
about a page fault also the symptoms are not the ones I am having. I did however
try to use the solution but the "System Information" box that they suggest to open
won't open and gives me the MSHTML.DLL error also.
