No Install Fonts Option in Win ME

No Install Fonts Option in Win ME

I know that in Win ME you are supposed to go to Control Panel -> Fonts and then File
-> Install New Fonts. But on my machine that option is not there. There is nothing
anywhere about installing fonts. I tried just copying them to the fonts folder,
but they don't show up in any programs. How can I get this option. Please help!!

Go to Control Panel and click on "Show ALL Control Panel Options" then go to Control
Panel -> Fonts and then File -> Install New Fonts.

"Show All Control Panel Options" is selected, but it still doesn't give me the option
to install new fonts. It just treats the Fonts window like any other window. It
has the option to add new folders, etc., but no Install Fonts.
Please help!!!

I had the same problem on my WinME machine. If you don't already have it, download
TweakUI. Then go to the repair tab and select Repair Font Folder. Once you reboot,
you should see the Install New Fonts option in your Fonts folder.
