WinME hangs while booting normally, but can boot into safe mode

Hi,

I tried searching through the fora to see if this question was answered previously.
Apologies if I haven't searched enough.

My problem basically is this. I have a PIII 600 mhz system with WinME and RedHat
7.1 dual boot. When I boot into WinME, the system hangs up at the WinME logo screen.
The system boots fine into safe mode and into RedHat 7.1.

The problem started yesterday night. I booted normally once, but tried to restart
because our corporate DHCP server didn't assign me an IP address.

I did install a package earlier, but the system booted fine twice after that installation.

Any help? TIA!
