You must have mispelled the name of the file. What's the exact error message and
file name?
Also, what bitmaps are you trying to delete? Anything special, such as wallpaper
bitmaps or just any of them?

Di,
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. You may need to delete those bitmaps
in DOS. Since you're using Me, you'd have to bootup with a boot disk to get into
DOS. Are they all in one folder?
Have you tried clearing out all temporary internet files? After first booting up
your PC., clear out those files in Internet Options tick to also delete all offline
content.
Click Start - Find - Files or folders. In the named box type: Temp (Make sure the
location shows C:) choose find now. Then double click to open the Windows\temp folder.
(that one only) Highlight all the files and delete all found. Then do a search for
*.tmp and delete every file. Empty the recycle bin.
