Question about 'Save Your Desktop Layout'

I try to arrange my I-cons but everytime I grab one to move it, it just goes back
to where I got it from. I do not have auto arrange checked. The bottom line is I
cannot put the Icons where I want in Windows Me and make them stay there.

Hi Mike,
This is something different! First be very sure you don't have 'Auto Arrange' selected
and that there are no desktop restrictions set for this system. I thought maybe TweakUI
could cause this symptom but not. Try refreshing the icon cache by performing the
following:
Right click your desktop and select 'Properties' from the menu. Next click the 'Appearance'
Tab.
Now select 'ICON' in the 'Item' box and change the 'Size' selection to a different
setting (ie:+ or - one digit). Now click the 'Apply' button. Now do the same thing
again, but set the 'Size' selection to your original setting and click the 'Apply'
button. You will notice the icons refresh each time you do this.
