Question about 'Force Windows to Remember Window Positions'

I have a question. When I go to read mail or send mail or address book the screen
comes up small? I expand it and click Remember size and position I then close that
window and open it again & its small again. This also happens to some of the web
pages I'll be surfing on. I will drag the windows as large as they can go but now
this brings up another problem. I have AOL 7.0 & 8.0 in my computer & I 'm running
ME with 256 RAM.
When I drag the screen as large as I can two slides will appear. One at the bottom
and one on the right side of the screen. With the screen opened as far as I can drag
it the slider on the right overlaps the screen I just resized. I then have to resize
the window again or click the expand squares in the upper right.
How can I open the WRITE, READ & ADDRESS window at the maximum size all the time
without all this clicking and resizeing? Thanks "ED" [:((

Try this. Open only one window. Size it the way you want. Hold down the Ctrl and
Shift keys and close the window. It should maintain the same size and position when
you open it again. If you want it maxmized maximize it first and then close it as
above.

One of the first things I tried. Your right about the window expanding but again
as soon as I close it and then open it nothing has changed. Its small again.
Thanks for the thought though. ED [:-))

You had it right except it doesn't work from the window X, it has to be done from
'file/Exit'

Bloddy hell! Who's nicked my name??? - Ed

Hello folks!
Just to avoid (ha, ha!) any confusion, may I just point out that I am Ed; and that
the newcomer on the group who is called ED (all in capitals) is *not* me!!!
Even I was confused! Well, not really. But it's pretty bloody silly of the system
to allow two users with the same name to register on this forum!
Sorry ED, not your fault I realise. But there may be some understandable confusion
as to which of us is which, so I thought I should point out, briefly, that we are
two different people.
Ta.

It appears that ED was de-registered on the forum before I was registered as Ed,
which is why there are seemingly two of me!
So there shouldn't in fact be too much confusion, as the other ED is no longer posting
here.

What's your problem?? There are a lot of people in this world with the same name,
so what makes you think you can stake claims on the name Ed? THAT is silly.
