Use find file to find ShellIconCache and delte it. It is a hidden file so make sure
you check unhide hidden (not system) files in file properties in the control panel.
Then re-boot your computer. ShellIconcache can hide viruses and become corrupt so
it is as well to fit Delindex and to use the delta command (C:\Delindex.bat delta)
in your task scheduler to clear the system every time you re-boot. If you use SpyBot,
RegCleaner 4.3, Delindex and Diskeeper Lite v7.0 you should re-gain a lot of performance
too.

To unhide that file,you need to go to Folder Options/View tab in the Control Panel...not
"file properties".
Two more ways to fix the shelliconcahe are as follows;
Open your display applet via control panel,or a right click on the desktop,select
properties,on the settings tab,change your color settings,ok out,then go change them
back.
Or,reboot to safe mode,then reboot to normal mode.
