Question about 'Learn to Explore with Folders'

have a question about Learn to Explore with Folders:

I am running Me. In order to adjust Folder Options and Settings, one starts in TOOLS. There is a general section, which clearly asks you wether you want to open a new window in a same/new window. My problem is that I have a friend who is using Win 98. To start Folder Options you start in VIEW and the is no option for viewing folders in the same window etc. The article is assuming that setting this option is the same for Win 98, Me, 2000 and XP, which is clearly not the case. I would appreciate it if some one could assist me with the correct procedure for exercising the option to view folders in the SAME window for Windows 98 and 98 2nd, edition. Thanks.

This is the ME forum, so you may be more likely to get help by posting on 98.

It would be better to repost in 98 as carol suggested. Nevertheless it is probable that we all go all over these boards replying as we are able, so the fact that a 98 query is here in ME is not a valid cause for it to go without replies. It is like if someone of non-troublemaker-appearance goes into a newsagent and asks "Can I have an icecream?". There might initially be a stunned silence maybe for a few seconds, but certainly not for longer than a minute. It is probable that the newsagent would politely direct him/her to the nearest icecream shop. It is merely an error, not a mortal sin. It happens. So off the guy goes to buy his icecreams and has a nice day. Note, though, that a lot of people have memories of buying icecream in newsagents, along with candy floss, milkshakes, etc. It is good, therefore, that you got one reply, and good also that you were pointed in a better direction. If more than one had replied, in particular with helpful information, I myself would not have done. As I do not the answer to the question.

What are you talking about?? Do you really think the posters want to hear this crap
in reply to their problem? Give me a break. No one said anything about them commiting
a sin, and you're making a big issue out of nothing. Take your philosophies elsewhere.

The reason for directing someone to the correct forum, is so that ppl. familiar
with the 'how to' in 98 will be able to help!
