Hello Moe, Do you have a restore point in System Restore from before the problem?
Or do you have a registry entry from before the problem. If so you can use either
to restore the system to the way it was before your problem arose. System restore
you know. Scanreg Restore is a matter of typing: scanreg /restore in the run box
window. Start, run, etc. Choose a date, highlight it and then press enter. (Did you
try extracting a new MSI.DLL file?) (There is no file called MSI.DLL222 on my ME
operating system, btw.) grin grin! Iain. ;- )

Try this link to download dll files. They have one listed that is MSI.DLL but there
is no 222 with it. Don't know if it is the same or not but worth a try. Be sure to
read the help for instructions.

If you which CAB file a file is in, all you do is use Explorer to open the file
and view it contents. Locate the file needed and and then drag it out and drop it
where you need it.
If you know the path to the CAB file or from the system files, you can also use
MSCONFIG and its Extract tab.

This is all I came up with. Just download it and save to disk and run the install
offline. It's worth a try.

Hi Moe, To extract MSI.DLL click start, run, and type: msconfig and click OK. Choose
File Extract and type MSI.DLL in the first window and click OK. Choose (or type)
C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL or C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS as the path to extract the
file ... FROM , and type: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM as the place where you want the new file
to be placed. Choose to overwrite the existing file. Iain.
