I have a question about Do I still need CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT?:

While running clipper complied program, it requires that config.sys file should have FILES=50, if not file open error comes in case of Win-ME how to overcome this problem?

To change this setting in Me, you use the PerVMFiles parameter in System.ini See this MS note. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=269030
