I get a 'File not found' message when I try to start EXCEL. The file not found is "QUOTECAT\QCAT.XLL. I had installed quotecat then i disinstalled it (quotecat is an utility to obtain a DLE between the stock quotes of yahoo and excel, but I was not satisfied)

I would search your registry for both QUOTECAT and QCAT.XLL and delete all of the
entries which have been, most probably, left behind, and delete them all.

Go to Start, Run and type: msconfig , press enter and look in the start-up group
for any further reference to this program.

You might benefit from using Codestuff Starter and running SpyBotS&D over your system
too.
