Holy cow! nothing I tried worked on my machine except for going into REGEDIT to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\CurrentControlset\control\sessionmanager\environment
there under PATH I found
C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\WINME;C:\WINME\COMMAND;A:\
once I removed the a:\ it began acting normal!
