You say your other pute doesn't have the problem so duplicate your IE settings, updates, etc. Compare MSCONFIG & kill off unnecessary processes. Check for Trojans, Parasites and cleanup the HDD. I installed Ad-Aware and updated it like you said, and that worked. Ad-Aware found some 200 files that were spyware and/or adware. In the process my virus scanner found a couple of viruses. The system would no longer work; MS programmes performed illegal ops when opened and mentioned a dll file problem.
