Wondering if anyone knows how to correct this problem. On start-up I get a message saying this file may be corrupted. I'm supposed to re-install it but not sure how. Any answers will get a great big thankyou.

You have inadvertently downloaded and installed CoolWebSearch (a browser hijacker). The best way to get rid of it is to download CW-SHREDDER. If you get an error about a missing file MSVBVM60.DLL, install this first: MS-Patch . All downloads are virus free and safe. MrC

MrC: Thankyou very much for this advice. Been searching a long time and tried many unsuccessful remedies. This one works. If I may though, one more question----Should I leave shredder in or delete? I'm using McAfee for pop-up defense but afraid it's not doing the job. What do you suggest? Thanks again tom f.

You can delete the shredder, you can always download it again if you need it. It's
constantly updated so it's always best to download the lastest one. That same link
works.
Here's what I have on my computer:
SypwareBlaster,
prevents problems

SpyBot, gets
rid of and prevents spy/adware

PopUpStopper-free

AVG*free free virus program
