What is the purpose of the file "dncjeefy.dll"? It keeps causing errors with internet explorer.

Yes, I am sure. Is is possibly a virus of some sort?

I doubt it. If it was, it would have been listed somewhere by now.
Where are you seeing it? Which directory is it located in?

Hi Sneeshy,

It's not a registered DLL in any event.
You can right click it, go to "Properties" > Version (tab), but I doubt if you'll be able to gleen very info much from that.
There are a few utilities you can download from HERE which might help you discover a bit more about it. The Dependency Walker is particularly useful since it should show which modules are linked to that DLL.

But rather than just deleting it, it would be safer to simply rename it by replacing the "dll" extension with "xxx" (so it becomes "dncjeefy.xxx"). To rename a file either right click and choose "Rename" from the menu, or click it once to highlight it then hit F2. In either case, click once on the highlight afterwards to remove it, place the cursor at the end of the filename, Backspace to remove the "dll" part (but not the ".") and then type xxx. Click anywhere outside to save it with the new name.
