Am running IE6 on my system and when I click on the icon to open it it searches and
then nothing opens. Have tried through the programs list to open but same. Outlook
express works fine. have tried to repair through add/remove but still no go even
installed ME again but still no go, what could be the problem?

Hi John,
Sorry, but I don't quite understand the connection you're trying to make between
IE6.0 and an "icon"? Do you mean an link on a web page or one on your desktop?

Use the Start menu option, Programs, to show the Internet Explorer line. Right
click on it and select properties. In the Shortcut tab, the target field should show:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
If it does not show this, then the browser may have been hijacked by some Virus/Trojan.
Try using explorer to locate IEXPLORE.EXE at the above path and start it directly
by double clicking on it.
You need to run full virus scans and Spyware checks. Also see: Windows ME Fixes
