This is how I solved my problem---
ON THE DESKTOP--
CHOSE A PICTURE FILE
HOLD DOWN THE ALT KEY AND USE THE LEFT CLICK ONCE OR TWICE TO BRING UP A WINDOW
IT WILL SHOW "CHANGE"
CLICK IT
TAKE YOUR CHOICE OF ICONS
THIS WILL CHANGE ALL THE ICONS IN YOUR SYSTEM INCLUDING YOUR CDs.
