Installation of Creative Recorder

I got a problem. I formated and reloaded my system during the new year holiday time. I have creative sound blaster live 5. Before i reloaded my computer i had the program creative recorder. This allowed me to record sound from an out side device witch i plugged into my computer threw the line in connection located on my sound card. Now i have attempted to reinstall the program. I downloaded it the file name is CTREC20030910 . However when i installed it it said it needed a previous version in order to continue with the installation. I havn't been able to find anywhere on the web that i can download a previous version of it. I'm certain there has to be one somewhere since it told me to install one before conntinueing. I have all the drivers installed correctly and all of that. It is just the recorder that i'm having the problem with. If you got any suggestions or know a link where i can download it at i would be very greatful if you were to let me know. thanks. I am running windows xp home.

I just had the same problem, I couldn't find the recorder anywhere and the CD that came with it didn't mention it on the label. But it was on the CD. (CD PN: 2201ML0000090). I finally searched the CD and found it here: J:\SB_INSTALL\Audio\Rec2\Setup.exe. I ran the setup and it installed the recorder then I ran the upgrade ( my recorder upgrade for Live Value was Recorder_2_00_34_(ENG).exe, CTREC20030910.exe is for Audigy), it found the recorder and said it had to delete it and then it installed the upgrade. The recorder is now installed and it works OK. Dave PS: The answer to look on the CD was right on the money for me although I had already done it before I found this post. dle
