Annoying message during windows startup

Dear all,
I have just installed Office XP Professional on Windows ME. I only installed Word,
Excel, and Powerpoint.
After installation I restarted my PC, an error message popped up:
"Error Loading C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL
The system cannot find the file specified "
However, when I look into the folder C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\
I do clearly see that the file "BRIDGE.DLL" is there!
I then uninstalled Office XP and reboot the PC again, sadly, the same message just
won't go away.
So my question is, what is this BRIDGE.DLL file doing on my PC? I am tempted to
go into Regedit and delete all the entries with bridge.dll but I am not sure if this
is the right thing to do.
Many thanks for helping out.
barry

Thanks Jabuck, I did went to the website you specified and download the software,
unfortunately it won't help. I did download another software "startuplist" and notice
that under " Autorun entries from Registry:", the following line is present
RunDLL = rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL",Load
I am sorry that I forgot to mention about this "RunDLL" thing in my previous email.
I don't know what it does. Can I go into the registry and delete this entry? Will
really appreciate you sharing with me.
Thanks again.

Barry,
Run a spyware removal tool, ie ad-aware spybot etc. If it still give you
the message go into the registry and remove the string (Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL",Load)
from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

When you say to remove the sting, does that mean the entire line in the registry?
I have tried all the sugestions in the post and this is the last resort. I have
the same exact problem that is listed. I did run the ad-aware and the cwshredder,
both did not work.
