If the p/s is overheating, that could explain the problem. Make an observation: does intermittent shutdown occur right away, or after pc has been on a while. If the latter, could be p/s overheating or failing. 2) Is the p/s undersized? Have you added cards or other peripherals that are now overloading the p/s? 3) is the pc case fan running OK? 4) Does the CPU chip have a dedicated fan? if so, is it running OK? 5) If you have added peripherals, take them out to see if your intermittent problems go away. I've checked all that you suggested and come up blank. All the power supplies are working fine and the peripherals have been removed and it still auto restarts and shuts down "improperly" over and over an over. Each shut down occurs about 10 seconds after the main menu shows up. It's almost like there is a bug in the start up process, because it shuts down so consistently at the same time..... I appreciate your help!
