Got It!

I got Mozilla. Now my question is.... can I load Firefox without uninstalling Mozilla? I am able to download zip files and I also finally figured out how to download the mp3 files from my subscription service. Thank you Joe, Steve and Donna for your help. I do so appreciate it. I did all the things suggested except for a clean install. I am putting that off as a very last resort. I was already a user of the spyware remover programs before I found this site and didn't realize until my browser was hijacked a couple of months ago how much those programs can help clean up your system. I guess whatever is broken regarding my download problem will stay that way until it is absolutely necessary to format. I love Mozilla and am sorry I didn't try it sooner. Haven't got all the plug ins installed yet but am taking it kind of slow. Thanks again everyone!

Firefox is just kind of a scaled down version of Mozilla, I suggest not worring about installing it as long as you like Mozilla. Whats important is not to use IE for much, since the malware writers have it's number. Getting all the malware off a computer for the first time can take repeated attempts. If you still have a few problems just post back. I am still getting use to using a new browser also, since i had been a die hard IE user. So just concentrate on learning how to use your new browser, and don't worry about installing Firefox also, though you could if you wanted.

good to hear your up and running, and to agree with steve (again) take the time to get to know your new browser, you've always have the time to download firefox and learn it, at another time, i would just "learn to crawl" again before attempting to walk. I tend to only utilize ie for windows updates and what not which is required for that pupose, see you around kiddo :)
