I have Windows Me. I'm not real computer literate, but I need some help. Whenever I'm looking at something on the moniter (and only if there's a scrollbar on the right), after about 10 seconds the scrollbar automatically jumps up to the top and I'm suddenly looking at the top of the message on the screen. (I hope I made that clear). It gets real annoying when you're either typing a message or reading a message...suddenly you're back at the begining and you have to scroll down to pick up where you left off. This is driving me nuts. Any help out there?

There was a bug in one of the IE updates last year that would cause the scroll bar to drop to the bottom of the window and you could not scroll back up. But that was fixed in an update last year. Do you have all of the Windows Updates installed from Microsoft? If not it would be worth a try.

If you have the latest IE service pack, then you could try a REPAIR of IE. >To REPAIR IE 6.0, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove icon, and select (highlight) the entry for "Microsoft Internet Explorer ... and Internet Tools" and then click the Add/Remove button at the bottom of the window. On the options window, select the "Repair Internet Explorer" option and click OK. When it is done reboot the system.

I assume you have already checked for any browser hijackers and ADware/Spyware and virus, so there is not much it can be other than backlevel version of IE or a corrupted file which updating and REPAIR should take care of.
