I have a question about Turn
Off the CD-ROM Autorun:
I am trying to copy Velvet Revolver CD on MS ME OS. I have tried shift key, and the
changes. Do I have to burn directly to hard drive, then CD, or is there a way to
burn directly. I have Adept CD Creator & Music Jukebox 8.0 Any help would be appreciated.
I have tried 3 times and all i get is skips & garbled music on the CD's

hmmm i tried a google and yahoo search on "adept cd creator" and came up with no
know software, also looked on cnet, but with music match, which i use, i simply open
up the program, and on the bottom of the menu (left hand side) is "copy" giving you
three options to either rip, burn, or send to portable and go from there, you would
copy the cd your trying to burn to the music match library if you choose. i think
thats what you are trying to find an answer for, but your going to have to open it
up first before installing the cd you want to burn, i don't know, thats just the
way i have it set up on my system? good luck!

im sorry, here i go again, as for the cd autorun, i never seem to have a problem
with that, meaning i had never had to change it before making copys of any cds. i
had just downloaded the music match and all was fine from there without making system
changes to the "autorun"

Bill may have meant "Adaptec".

With Adaptec ECDC version, he has a real old version of the burner software. Hope
he has went to the ROXIO.COM web site and downloaded the last update version to version
4.05 or he will have problems anyway.
On older slower machines, it always helps to have it copy the whole thing to the
disk drive first to avoid errors and skips. Then again, what he is trying to copy
might well copy protection built into it that degrades the quality when you try to
copy it.
